Apple Vision Pro Launch Date Revealed
Apple Vision Pro – Apple is set to launch its new device, the Vision Pro, on February 2, with pre-orders starting on January 19. This special headset will cost $3,499 and will initially be available for purchase in the United States. Apple has not revealed when it will be released in other countries, such as India.
The Apple Vision Pro was introduced by the tech giant at the Worldwide Developers Conference last year, stating it would be available in “early 2024.” However, specific launch details were not disclosed at that time. The headset comes with 256GB of storage, and if users want Zeiss prescription lenses, they will need to pay an additional $149 or Rs 12,375. Apple plans to provide demonstrations of the Apple Vision Pro at its retail locations in the United States.

Ahead of the CES 2024, the world’s largest tech trade show in Las Vegas, Apple surprised everyone by announcing the retail availability of the Vision Pro. While Apple has been absent from CES for many years, it is known for making unexpected announcements around the same time as the event.
Pre Order Apple Vision Pro
Preorders for the Apple Vision Pro will begin on January 19, and starting February 2, the headset will be available at all US stores and the online store. This marks Apple’s first new product since the launch of the Apple Watch in 2015. The Vision Pro is not just another smartphone; it represents a new type of device, and Apple aims to make spatial computing and mixed reality mainstream, similar to how the iPhone popularized apps and a multi-touch interface. The Vision Pro operates on VisionOS, a new operating system, allowing users to interact through their eyes, gestures, and voice.
Despite being Apple’s most advanced product, analysts and experts predict that the Apple Vision Pro may not generate significant revenues in its initial years. Apple is expected to take a cautious approach, considering the niche nature of this segment. The success of the product remains uncertain, as wearing a computer on one’s face is a novel concept.
While Apple’s first attempt at bringing a computer to the user’s face shows promise, the company, like its competitors, has yet to establish a compelling use case for widespread adoption. The Apple Vision Pro seems more targeted at architects and developers than the average person, making it more of a Generation 1 product at this stage. Only time will tell if Apple’s Vision Pro can leave a lasting impression comparable to the iPhone.
