Motorola Edge 50 Launched with AI

Motorola just released its first smartie with AI smarts, the Edge 50 Pro, on Wednesday. They say it’s the world’s first super smart cam phone, all certified by Pantone. This new gadget has some fancy features like a super smart camera powered by AI and a screen that’s been checked and validated by Pantone to show skin tones just right.

The basic version of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. It costs Rs 31,999. There’s another version with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, priced at Rs 35,999. You can buy this cool gadget starting April 9 on Flipkart. If you’ve got an HDFC card, you can save up to Rs 2,250. That means you could get it for Rs 29,999. Plus, there’s a special deal at the start where you can save another Rs 2,000, bringing the price down to Rs 27,999.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is a tough phone. It’s got an IP68 rating, meaning it can handle a splash or two. You can get it in three colors: Moon Light Pearl, Luxe Lavender, and Black Beauty. It’s not too heavy either, at 186 grams. The Moon Light Pearl version even has a design made in Italy by Mazzucchelli 1849. Oh, and it’s got something called generative AI theming, which means it can make wallpapers that match your style or outfit.

The screen on the Edge 50 Pro is big, 6.67 inches, with a super sharp 1.5K resolution. It’s got a really fast refresh rate of 144Hz and something called DC dimming to make the screen easier on your eyes at night. The brightness can go up to 2,000 nits, which is super bright. There’s a fingerprint sensor hidden under the screen too. And thanks to Pantone SkinTone-Validation, the Edge 50 Pro can show all different skin tones just right.

Motorola is bragging that the Edge 50 Pro has the smartest camera ever. Pantone says so too. It’s got a main camera with 50 megapixels, an ultra-wide-angle lens with 13 megapixels (which can also take close-up shots), and a telephoto lens with 10 megapixels that can zoom in three times. And don’t forget the 50 megapixel selfie camera on the front.

They use AI to make the camera even better. It’s got all sorts of cool features like smart stabilization, autofocus that follows things, and even special modes for taking artsy photos. The company says there’s also some magic AI that makes your photos look better by adding more detail, making the background blurry, and getting rid of fuzziness.

The phone runs on almost the latest Android 14. There’s a little extra something called Hello UI on top. Motorola promises to update the phone three times with big changes to Android and keep it safe for four years. It’s got a battery that can last a long time, 4,500 mAh. And if you need a quick charge, it can handle up to 125 watts. You can even charge it wirelessly at 50 watts. The USB port is super fast too, for transferring stuff quickly.
