RedMagic 10 Pro Series China Launch Date Confirmed, Key Features Revealed
Motorola Razr 50 Amazon Deal at Rs 49990
Foldable phones have usually been expensive flagship models, even though their design comes with compromises. Motorola, one of the pioneers in foldable phones, is now trying to make them more affordable. Unlike other brands that see foldables as a way to increase prices, Motorola is offering the Razr 50 at a much lower price point. But does a mid-range foldable make sense? After trying the Motorola Razr 50, I found four reasons why it could be a good option.
Practical Design
The Motorola Razr 50 has a design that’s easy to use. Despite having a large 6.9-inch screen, it folds up nicely and fits into your hand. I reviewed the bright Spritz Orange color, which looked great. One thing I loved was the included case, which fits perfectly with the phone. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner in the power button, which might feel old-school but works well, especially when you’re in different environments.

Easy-to-Use Flip Design
The flip and fold design makes things simple, especially with its 3.6-inch external screen. For example, during the iPhone launch event, I could easily shoot videos by folding the phone halfway and using the main camera. The external screen allowed me to start recording with just a tap. There’s also a “handy cam” mode, where you hold the phone like a video camera. You can control recording and zoom with just a swipe, making it super easy to use.
Fully Functional External Screen
The 3.6-inch external screen isn’t just for looks—it’s fully functional. You can run most apps on it, and you can choose in settings which apps should open on this screen when the phone is folded. Motorola has even added games just for this screen, like Marble Mayhem, which reminded me of my childhood. You can easily switch between tabs like the weather or calendar. Even better, you can quickly take selfies by tapping on the external screen when the phone is folded.

Strong Performance
The Razr 50 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor, which handles everything smoothly. Whether you’re switching between different phone modes, gaming, or recording 4K videos, the phone doesn’t slow down or overheat. Plus, the battery easily lasts more than a day, which is a big plus.

Any Downsides?
One small issue is that with the case, the phone feels a bit thick, even though it’s not much heavier than other phones. However, using a case is a must with foldable phones, so it’s something to keep in mind.
Also, like many other foldables, the Razr 50 doesn’t come with a special UI designed for foldable screens. It just adapts the regular Android UI to work on the folding screen and the external display.
Should You Buy the Motorola Razr 50?
If you’ve been wanting a foldable phone but haven’t bought one because of the price, the Motorola Razr 50 is a great option. It’s perfect for people who like compact devices, shoot a lot of videos, and enjoy trying out new technology. At a sale price of Rs 49,990 during the Amazon Great Indian Festival, this phone offers great value if it fits your needs.
